Brittany McLean is a dedicated mathematics educator, leader, and financial professional with a passion for helping others grow through education, mentorship, and real-world application. A former three-sport collegiate athlete, Brittany attended the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, where she majored in Applied Mathematics, developing the discipline, leadership, and analytical mindset that continue to shape her professional and personal pursuits today. From an early age, Brittany's love of mathematics and desire to help others were sparked by watching her father demonstrate the beauty and practicality of numbers in everyday life, instilling in her a lifelong appreciation for the subject and a genuine drive to share that passion with those around her.

With nearly two decades of experience in mathematics instruction, Brittany has taught at both the secondary and collegiate levels, serving students through engaging, student-centered learning experiences that build confidence, critical thinking, and academic success. Previously serving as an Adjunct Professor at Randolph College and an Associate Instructor at Central Virginia Community College, Brittany taught a wide range of mathematics courses, including Pre-Calculus, Quantitative Reasoning, Statistical Reasoning, and Technical Mathematics. Her teaching philosophy centers on creating meaningful connections between mathematics and everyday life while fostering a supportive and motivating classroom environment.

In addition to her educational background, Brittany brings experience in financial analysis from her work at a financial company, where she contributed to analytical research and investment strategy support. This blend of mathematics, leadership, athletics, and financial expertise allows her to approach challenges with precision, resilience, and practical insight.

Brittany holds advanced degrees in Mathematics/Science Education and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership Studies at the University of Lynchburg. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her leadership, innovation, and commitment to student achievement, earning awards and praise from colleagues, administrators, and community leaders alike.

Known for her integrity, professionalism, and collaborative spirit, Brittany continues to make a lasting impact by empowering students, supporting educational excellence, and helping others succeed both academically and professionally.

Outside of her professional career, Brittany enjoys exploring and researching new ideas, going on adventures to the mountains or the beach, and watching the dogs play. She enjoys sports, including golf with her dad, basketball, and other collegiate athletics, while also spending time with her friends and dog through activities such as Doggy Yappy Hour and pool parties at the Clubhouse.
