Camdyn Allison is an ambitious environmental science student currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Freshwater and Marine Biology with a minor in business at Gannon University, with an anticipated graduation in 2027. Deeply passionate about the natural world, Camdyn is focused on an internship within the environmental sector. He aims to find an opportunity that not only provides advanced field education, but also allows him to translate his academic training into impactful, real-world conservation efforts.

Camdyn has already accumulated significant, hands-on field experience that sets a strong foundation for his career. His research background includes two years of data and observation collection on Lake Erie, which evolved into specialized micro and macroinvertebrate studies. He has also expanded his ecological perspective internationally through research on tropical waters in the Bahamas. In addition to academic research, Camdyn gained valuable professional experience with a PA Conservation District, where he actively surveyed and reported invasive species, collected and analyzed water quality data, and collaborated closely with regional partners and neighboring districts.

Beyond his technical and scientific capabilities, Camdyn has developed well-rounded leadership and interpersonal skills. His time in conservation work has honed his ability to communicate effectively with clients and the general public, complementing his core strengths in public speaking, teamwork, and independent problem-solving. On campus, Camdyn is highly engaged in student life and leadership, serving as the Vice President of the Fishing Club and actively participating in the Student Government Association.

Outside of his academic and professional pursuits, Camdyn is highly active and driven by a love for exploration and physical fitness. As an avid outdoorsman, he spends much of his free time immersed in nature, which naturally complements his passion for environmental science. His adventurous spirit extends to traveling, allowing him to explore new ecosystems and cultures both domestically and globally. 

To maintain the high energy and discipline required for his demanding fieldwork, Camdyn dedicates himself to heavy lifting and weight training, which keep him physically fit and mentally focused. He also channels his competitive and team-oriented nature into sports, enjoying the camaraderie and active lifestyle that come with athletic activities.
